How to Set Up Custlo on Your Shopify Store

Step 1 – Welcome to Custlo
Tell Us Who Is Setting Up the App
When you first open Custlo, you'll see a quick question so we can personalize your setup experience.
You will see two options:
I'm the Store Owner
Choose this if you own the Shopify store and are setting up Custlo for your own business.
Developer / Agency
Choose this only if you are a developer or agency installing Custlo for a client.
👉 Most merchants should select I'm the Store Owner.
What you need to do
Open your Shopify Admin
Go to Apps → Custlo
Select I'm the Store Owner
Click Continue
This step takes only 10 seconds.
Step 2 – Custlo Detects Your Store Type
Great News! Your Store Is Compatible
Custlo automatically checks your Shopify store and detects which Customer Account system your store uses.
If you see:
Detected: New Customer Accounts
That means your store supports all advanced Custlo features, including:
• Cashback and store credits
• Post-purchase upsells
• Customer order editing
• Custom forms and data collection
• A powerful customer account dashboard
Since Shopify uses New Customer Accounts by default for new stores, most merchants will already be ready to go.
👉 You don't need to change anything — simply click Continue.

Next, you’ll see a quick overview of the powerful tools Custlo adds to your store.

When you're ready, click Start Free Trial.
Step 4 – Start Your 14-Day Free Trial
Custlo offers a 14-day free trial, allowing you to explore every feature before committing.
During your free trial you get:

When you click Start Free Trial, Shopify will show a billing approval screen.
This is a normal Shopify step.
👉 Just click Approve to continue.
You will not be charged during the 14-day trial period.
Step 5 – Activate Custlo on Your Store
You're almost done!
To make Custlo appear on your storefront, you must enable it inside your Shopify theme.
This step only takes about 10 seconds.
What you need to do
Click Enable in Theme
Shopify will open the Theme Editor
In the left panel, find Customer Dashboard — Custlo
Turn the toggle ON
Click Save
Once saved, Custlo will be connected to your storefront.
⚠️ Important:
Custlo will not appear on your store until this step is completed.
Step 6 – Turn On the Custlo App Embed
Inside the Shopify Theme Editor, you will see a section called App Embeds.
Find the embed named:
Customer Dashboard — Custlo
Then:
Toggle it ON
Click Save in the top-right corner
After saving, Shopify will confirm the changes.
🎉 That's it — Custlo is now live on your store!
Your customers can now use the Custlo Customer Portal to manage their orders and accounts easily.

Congratulations! Your Custlo Customer Account Portal is now active.
You can now go back to the Custlo dashboard to configure additional features such as:

• Customer order editing

• Account page customization
